“Day’s End”

It’s an idea I came up with a few years back. It all fell together with the help of a pretty woman named Melissa. It’s about a newlywed couple that is homesteading. It represents what this couple does shortly before retiring for the night.

It is to take place sometime in the 1800’s. Back then they were required to stake out a plot of land and live on it for a certain amount of time before they can clam ownership of it. Normally they would build a one room cabin that had no running water. Times were hard as they try to build a future for themselves.

In the privacy of their home, he’s sitting in a chair with a book, but he’s not reading. He’s watching her. Chances are she may not be as pretty as he perceives her. Since bras had yet to be invented, I doubt she would be that firm. Also, her skin would have been well weathered and she would look older then she really is. It didn’t matter. That’s his wife. He adores hers and he thinks he’s the luckiest “son of a bitch” to have her as his wife.

I’ve been married for over 25 years and this is the way most husbands feel about their wife. We rarely tell them that we adore them, love them, and consider ourselves lucky to be married to them. But we do. Also, she’s too important to be viewed as an object. Our greatest joy is to be able to see our wife as nature intend. It’s not important that she look like she’s 18 or that she may have gained some weight. In fact what she might think is a flaw such as a bubble butt is what he likes best. He just wants to see his girl.

I’ve worked with too many women not to sense that there is this need to be seen as “natural” as nature intend. This is also the way he wants to see you. He doesn't’t want you to be dressed up like some bimbo in a glamour shot. Nor does he want you to flaunt yourself. All he wants is a wholesome natural portrait of that special person in his life.
